A New Era Began at MAKÜ: Rector Dalgar Met with Students and Parents in Dormitories

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University started the 2024-2025 academic year. With the new term, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar and his team, who visited Salda Girls' Dormitory, Safahat Girls' Dormitory, Fereli Sinan Boys' Dormitory, and Asım’s Generation Boys' Dormitories in İstiklal Campus, received information from the dormitory managers and chatted with students and parents.

After the visits, Rector Dalgar made an evaluation, emphasizing that the dormitory conditions are quite good and that there is an environment where students can develop themselves and build their careers thanks to the opportunities provided. In his evaluation, Dalgar said: “Today, we started with our 2024-2025 academic year opening program. Due to the new term, we visited our students who registered in the dormitories and conducted a tour to see the needs of families and students on-site. We have a dormitory capacity where approximately 6 thousand of our students can stay in İstiklal Campus. We visited all our dormitories and observed that the conditions are very good. Our state, through the Credit Dormitories Institution, offers an excellent opportunity to students pursuing higher education. Our university buildings are modern, equipped with the latest technology, and spotless. All the physical environments necessary for students to develop themselves and build their careers are present. We must appreciate these opportunities and work harder to serve our country. We will support our students with this understanding.

We are experiencing the peace of seeing that our dormitories are ready for the new term and we are starting the education with confidence. Hopefully, we will have a successful term. As a university, we will continue to provide academic support to our students. At regular intervals, we will bring our students together with our faculty members in different areas of expertise. We will offer various programs for personal and social development in the evenings, in addition to academic education during the day. We will make our campus a fully living area. Additionally, with the motto '365 days of sports', we will organize sports activities every day and prepare various programs to meet the social needs of our students. We hope that Mehmet Akif Ersoy University will be remembered as a university that offers multi-dimensional development opportunities to its students and provides the most suitable ecosystem.”
